Installation Instructions
Hurricane Shutter Insert Anchors can be installed in five simple steps. These anchors are especially made for anchoring and fastening hurricane shutters. These specific concrete fasteners can be used in the following base materials: concrete, brick, block, and wood. Hurricane anchors have self-embedding heads and nylon locking patch. A hurricane shutter insert anchor uses 7/16" ANSI masonry drill bits to install. Step by Step Installation Instructions follow:
| 1. Drill 7/16” hole using an ANSI standard masonry bit |
| 2. Clean hole out of all dust. |
| 3. Insert 5/16’ hex driver into flared end of anchor. |
| 4. Insert anchor into the hole, turning the anchor until it seats flush with the base material. The anchor does not have to be set using a power
tool. In most case 3 to 4 turns will seat the anchor in the base material. |
| 5. Using a 1/4” –20 bolt attach hurricane shutter. |
