Technical Specifications — Nylon Nail-Its

Nylon Nail-It technical specifications must be considered before installation. Nylon Nail-its come in two diameters - 3/16" and 1/4" and are available in a wide range of lengths. When purchasing nail it anchors, choose from three head styles - round, flat, and mushroom. When installing nail-its, size will be equal to the hole size that was drilled.

Nylon Nail-it Anchor Length: Equal to the thickness of the material to be fastened plus minimum embedment.

Nylon Nail-it Anchor Spacing: The forces on a Nylon Nail-It are transferred to the material in which it is installed. If the anchors are installed too close together, it can cause an interaction of the forces, thus reducing the holding power of the anchor. When anchoring into low-density materials, the holding power will be no greater than that of the material. As a rule of thumb, anchors should be spaced 18 to 24 inches from center to center to get maximum holding power in low-density materials. Depending on the type of high density material, spacing may be closer. When vibration or sudden impact are part of the load condition, the spacing should be increased.
