Purchase Single Expansion Anchors


Installation Instructions

Installing Single Expansion Anchors can be completed in four easy steps. These light to heavy duty anchors can be used when working in concrete, brick and block base material, and can even be used in soft masonry and base materials of questionable strength. A machine threaded bolt is used to expand the Single Expansion Anchor and can be removed and replaced without affecting the holding values of the anchor. The Single Expansion Anchor is available in 1/4", 5/16”, 3/8”, 1/2", 5/8” and 3/4” diameters. The Single Expansion Anchor is made from a highly corrosive zinc based alloy called Zamac.

Installation Steps:

Drill hole with carbide tipped bit, based on recommended diameter and depth of anchor. Insert single expansion anchor in hole, tap with hammer, if needed. Place fixture over single expansion anchor. Insert machine threaded bolt through fixture into anchor and tighten.
  1. Drill a hole in the base material with a hammer drill and a correctly sized carbide drill bit for the anchor you are using. See our technical specifications page for the drill bit size required.
  2. Clean out hole of all debris.
  3. Insert the Single Expansion Anchor into the hole and tap the fastener lightly with a hammer to ensure it is flush with the base material.
  4. Set the fixture over the single expansion anchor and insert the properly sized machine bolt/screw through the fixture and into the anchor.
