The Galvanized CONFAST® Wedge Anchors are for use and installation in concrete that is solid, and should not be used in light-weight, porous, hollow, brick or block (CMU) base materials. Galvanized, or HDG, is a process of dipping the fabricated anchor body, nuts and washers into a kettle or vat containing molten zinc. The coating produced allows the Galvanized CONFAST® Wedge Anchor to be more corrosive resistant than the standard zinc plated CONFAST® Wedge Anchor. Each Galvanized CONFAST® Wedge Anchor has a 304 stainless steel expansion clip permanently attached to the anchor body. It is important to always use an ANSI standard carbide bit that is equal to the diameter of the Galvanized CONFAST® Wedge Anchor being installed.

CONFAST® Galvanized Wedge Anchor - Product Information
Galvanized is manufactured for use in moist outdoor environments. The heavy coating helps resist rust. When seeking more rust resistance, consider using 304 or 316 stainless steel.
The CONFAST® Galvanized Wedge Anchor is designed for use in solid concrete. It is not approved for installation in other masonry materials such as brick or block.
Each box is shipped with the correct size and number of galvanized nuts and washers
Every CONFAST® Galvanized Wedge Anchor will have a 304 stainless steel expansion clip included
Each diameter of CONFAST® Galvanized Wedge Anchor must be installed to a minimum embedment depth in order to obtain minimum holding value
When installing the CONFAST® Galvanized Wedge Anchor, each must be placed no closer than 10 anchor diameters away from one another, and spaced 5 anchor diameters away from any unsupported concrete edge.
Never place the CONFAST® Galvanized Wedge Anchor in a vibratory load. They are designed for use in static loading situations only.
Length identification code is stamped on the threaded end of the anchor body for easy inspection after installation
The length of the wedge anchors is measured end to end, including the threads
Each anchor requires the anchor to be torqued to a minimum value to obtain minimum holding values
Each diameter of CONFAST® Galvanized Wedge Anchor requires a different size wrench for installation
When installing the anchor, the 3 to 4 threads go below the surface of the concrete or the fixture being attached
The diameter of CONFAST® Galvanized Wedge Anchor is equal to the diameter of the hole that must be drilled in the concrete. Always use a bit that meets ANSI standards to ensure correct tolerance requirements
If wedge anchors will be inserted through a hole in an item and then into the concrete, the hole in the item must be slightly larger than the diameter of anchors being installed
