CONFAST® Lag Shield Anchors are a die-cast zinc alloy expansion anchor for use in a variety of masonry materials that include concrete block, brick, mortar joints and solid concrete. Die-casting uses a process that forces molten metal under high pressure into a two part tool die cavity hardened in the shape of the Lag Shield Anchor. The zinc alloy used in the CONFAST® Lag Shield Anchor is Zamac 3 (ASTM AG40A) and is the most widely used zinc alloy in North America. It is used in the manufacturing of the CONFAST® Lag Shield Anchor because of its excellent balance of desirable physical and mechanical properties, superb castability and long-term dimensional stability.
The CONFAST® Lag Shield Anchor come in a short version for harder, more dense masonry and a long version for softer masonry.
