The 316 Stainless Steel CONFAST® Wedge Anchor is most commonly used in industrial applications involving processing chemicals, as well as in high saline environments, such as coastal regions and outdoor areas where de-icing salts are commonly used. The 316 stainless steel has about 2% to 3% more material called molybdenum, which increases the corrosion resistance, than the 304 stainless steel. When installing the 316 Stainless Steel CONFAST® Wedge Anchor in the concrete, the required diameter of the hole that must be drilled is equal to the anchor diameter being used. All 316 Stainless Steel CONFAST® Wedge Anchors are packaged with nuts and washers.

CONFAST® 316 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchor - Product Information
The CONFAST® 316 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchor is for use in submerged, caustic types of applications, such as salt water or around a pool where chlorine is present. If less rust resistance is required, consider using the following:

Zinc plated wedge anchors for dry indoor use
Galvanized for moist outdoor use
304 Stainless Steel for wet outdoor use

Should be used only in solid concrete, never in brick or block base materials
Each box of CONFAST® 316 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchor is packaged with the correct number and size of 316 stainless steel nuts and washers
Expansion clip manufactured from 316 stainless steel
Installation Considerations:

Each diameter has to be embedded into the concrete a minimum distance to obtain minimum holding values
Wedge anchor should not be placed closer than five anchor diameters from an unsupported edge of concrete

Anchor length is measured as an overall length from end to end, including the threads
For use in static loading, never for use in vibratory loading applications
Torque range for each anchor
Wrench must be used to turn nut to expand CONFAST® 316 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchor
Fixture hole must be slightly larger than the CONFAST® 316 Stainless Steel Wedge Anchors being installed
Threads must be below surface of the concrete or item be attached to allow for safe and effective expansion
